11:38 am - mmm, movies
For those of you who know me at all you would know that I am in love with movies and claim that every one of them is my favorite. So to clear up any misconceptions I thought I would list my top 10 favorites, in no particular order. Really I just did this out of pure boredom, but whatever. You must be bored too if you're actually reading this...

1. Lord of the Rings (all three count as one movie no matter what anyone else says)
2. Ocean's 11
3. A Time to Kill
4. Apollo 13
5. Shawshank
6. Armageddon
7. The Rock
8. Independence Day
9. Robin Hood
10. Gladiator

So that's how the cookie crumbles. If you have any discrepancies that sucks for you. There may be a few changes in the near future so keep hanging on to the edge of you seat. Tata!!

12:18 pm - Wow, you're not gonna beleive this
For the entire summer I've been begging for a little excitement to come my way and on Saturday at about 6PM I finally received my portion...

So Jenny, Chris, Michael, and I are riding up to the lake for the weekend in Jenny's mom's Expedition (Jenny's driving) and Chris and Michael decide to shoot their fake little pellet gun at road signs to enhance the journey up 75. A little while later we pass this cop on the road that starts pullin on the highway as we pass him. He's about 4 cars back and made no attempt to get closer so we paid him little attention. A little while later we pass an on-ramp where another cop car entering the highway and ending up right next to the previous car. A few moments later we pass another cop car on the side of the road that pulls out just as we pass him.

At this point we're thinking something's up and it might possibly have to do with this fake gun, but we're not really sure. So then the three cars turn on their lights and move closer to us. Once one gets right behind us we know they're for us so Jenny pulls over and we wait. And now, just as in the movies, in about a split second the three cars have four cops standing behind their doors with guns aimed at our heads!!!! Two of these guns were freaking M-16s! Not that I know a lot about guns but I know those have those nifty little lasers on them for pinpoint accuracy, and my guess was they knew how to use them, but we weren't about to test them.

Basically we're freaking out but realize if we just do as they say we'll be fine. So then we hear "driver, turn the car off and throw the keys out of the car." And Jenny does so. Next he says "driver, step out of the vehicle with your hands in the air." And Jenny does so. Then we hear "come backwards to my voice...keep coming...keep coming...now down on your knees." This is entire time I'm scared out of my mind to move but I glance behind me to see that they're putting handcuffs on her!! Then they put her in the back of one of the cars and ask for Chris to step out. Same thing happens to him, then, Michael, and me.

Do you know how bad that would've been if some important person or even some of our friends passed us and saw us walking backwards on the highway with our hands in the air and what, at the time seemed like an entire force of cops with their guns aimed at us??

So we're all sitting in the back of two police cars, still handcuffed, which freaking hurt!! We all still had marks on our hands the next morning. But as we're in the cars we watch them approach the car with their guns still aimed at it. The doors were all still open from when we got out but they also opened the trunk, which exposed all our lake stuff and the good amount of alcohol. That didn't help our case.

They came back to the police cars and in our car the driver got in and I could've sworn we were being taking to jail or something, but then he got out and had pulled Chris and Michael out separately, questioned them, and read them their rights. Then they pulled me out and questioned me. But they had found the FAKE gun and loosened up a bit. They took our cuffs off and talked to us a little more. We weren't really sure what was gonna happen but finally they decided that we weren't gonna wreak havoc on the town with a fake gun and wrote Chris a ticket for disorderly conduct...which is the same as cussing in public. The gun was confiscated.

So that's the story! And I promise all of it's true! I have to admit I've never had a gun aimed at me before. You always kinda wonder what you'd do. And I mean obviously we were dealing with sane people who weren't just gonna open fire if we didn't give them cause to, but it's amazing how controlled and overpowered you feel. One of the cops even said that if one of us had stepped out of the car with the gun in our hand we would've been shot.

So lesson of the day, don't have fake guns in the car.

12:01 am - Counting down the days...
There are 14 days left of school!! How amazing is that? Precisely. Let's recap on the past week's events shall we...

I got to play in the Meyerson! I know most people prolly weren't too excited but I absolutely loved it. Congrats on the great review to the Mahler people.

I successfully completed my 5 tests from last week, although I cannot confidently conclude that I passed all 5...further details await.

With my new membership to 24-Hour Fitness I got a free session with a personal trainer!! How cool is that? So I go and of course it's this young cute guy and the first thing we do is measure all the fat on my body by him pinching and using that measurey pinchy tool. Yea, that was lovely. But after that part it got cool. Those people really know what they're talking about. He was really helpful on my back problems and now I'm all inspired to workout again, that's always a plus! And the best part, at the end he starts saying how he'd really like to schedule another hour with me cause we didn't get through everything he'd hoped to. So I'm thinking "alright, now he wants all the money I don't have" so I ask how much and he says "absolutely free" Heck yea!!

I feel like O'Donnell recital hall is my second home now. I've spent way too many hours in there the past few weeks. I even finished my recital attendance a LONG time ago, so you people who's recitals I went to better feel loved that I came out of the goodness of my heart! Some honorable mentions for their fabulous recitals go to Chris, Nathan, Doug, Scott, Jeff, John, and Tim. Great job guys!!

Jenny and John officially suck cause they don't have classes on Mon, Wed, or Fri next semester. Nobody like them anymore. But I guess go to their recital April 18th at 6:30. Good luck guys! :-)

Yay for Easter coming up!! But more importantly, yay for Easter gigs! hehe j/k! But really, I hope you all celebrate Easter for its true meaning and realize all the great things that the Lord gives us everyday! I love ya all!

That be all...

10:58 pm - WE GOT THE AWESOME APARTMENT!!!!!
Yep, you heard me. We got the awesome apartment I'd been talking about! The best part though is that we've got neighbors too! Kurt, JV, and Loudon got an apartment there and now Megan, Michelle, and possibly Grace! Our complex is now the cool place to be...oh you'll believe me when you come to our all-moved-in party! You'll say "wow, this is the cool place to be, better write that down."

So yep! I really couldn't ask for more right now. Got to keep my roomie, added Chris F., got the coolest apartment ever, and only have two more months left of being a sophomore. It's craziness I tell you.

So another horrible loss for the guys softball team. It's really not all their fault, the umps are kinda crappy, and new fake rules were formed. I think they just need to let girls play and all will be well. :-)

Speaking of softball, I'm not gonna be playing with the Transfiguration team this summer. :-( It's seems as if I'll be staying in Dallas for most of the summer. I know you're all disappointed, I am too. But I plan on getting a job of some sort and start making some money for that awesome TV I've talked about! Yea we'll see how that turns out.

I'm no longer a member of the Blue Devil flagline, it was fun while it lasted.

Oh! I'm so excited, I'd been doing this thing with FreeDVDs.com where you try all these offers and free trials to earn points, then trade the points for DVDs. I just got enough points for Band of Brothers so I ordered it and it'll be here soon...all for FREE! That's worth like $90! Yay for DVDs, especially free ones!!

Alrighty, that's all I got. Tata!!

11:23 pm - Stupid computer
For the 3rd time I try to start my 7th entry here. The previous attempts failed due to some malfunction of my computer, surprise surprise. But anyways, here it is...

I think the worst yet also best thing about my spring break was coming back to Dallas because I'm definitely glad to come back and all but that means having to leave the fam and now Nala. :-( I sometimes just wish my two worlds could mix and I don't have to choose between them all the time.

But yea, so spring break was quite relaxing. My mom loved Nala!! But of course who couldn't? And she was so precious this week two. Her ears are starting to stand up, well, one of them anyway. The other one's not quite there yet...sooo cute!!

Happy flyin' to Meesh!! Sorry I didn't get to come see you at the airport. :-(

My mom and I got lots of shopping done over the break! And for anyone who truly knows me should realize how great of a feat that is for me...I HATE SHOPPING! But getting new clothes is always fun! So I think I'm gonna be making lots of jewelry to match everything. Yay!

Ok, for those of you who were unaware, I am officially the most talented person ever. I go to try out for the Blue Devils hornline and somehow, based on my stunning looks they assumed that my talents as a guard member were far superior to my trumpet skills so I have made the BD flagline!! Go me!! ...if you don't believe me, just check out the link on Jake's profile.

I'm still debating what I should do this summer. The most productive thing seems to do summerschool, but then I'm not sure where and also if I should get a job. There just aren't enough summers!

Well, this entry, as are most others, was kinda pointless but oh well. That ain't my problem. Hehe! Hope everyone's doing well these days and to my Georgians, I'm sorry I didn't get to see most of you over the break!! But can't say it was completely my fault (...ie. ALEX!)we shall see each other soon. Miss you!!

01:38 pm - Yay for the weekend!
So this week's been pretty hectic but is slowly drawing to a close. Way too many tests this week. But I'm happy to say that we got our Music History tests back today and I got a 92!! Guess mine and Christine's studying techniques really work.

We've been lookin' into apartments a lot lately but still haven't been able to make any decisions. My friend Kurt and I are in love with these amazing three-bedroom, 2-story, apartments that are cheaper yet so much nicer than what we've got now. But for some reason nobody else seems to be very interested in them. I've already planned out which room I want and where all my stuff would go too. Guess I shouldn't give my hopes up like that though.

Congrats to the Fadunkers!!!! I'm so happy for you guys and will definitely be there Monday night to cheer ya on!

So only one more week left before Spring Break! IT'S ABOUT TIME! But that also means I've only got two weeks left with Nala. :-( My GA friends gotta come by and see her next week!!

Oscar countdown: 2 days!!!!!!!! GO ROTK!

So in other news, if you haven't seen The Passion go see it right now. It's beyond words. I've never seen a movie that left the audience completely silent at the end like that. You'll be a changed person when you come out. Definitely a must see.

09:43 pm - Break from studyin' for MUHI
Hmm...well, I guess I should clarify. Technically this is a break from trying to START studying for our Music History test. Christine and I are soul mates when it comes to our studying habits...basically that means we're horrible at it in all the same ways. So far we've had a a queso break, a girl scout cookie break, a Nala break, and a analyzation of Meadows eye-candy break. ;-)Right now we're about to start the listening part. But really she's goin' through my DVD's to decide which one we're gonna watch Thursday. We've got our priorities straight, I know.

So this weekend's been pretty hectic! Sarting Friday morning I woke up at 5AM to get ready and teach a sectional, did the school thing, and had the first performance of my gig. Saturday morning I woke up early for the Wind Ensemble recording session. I played hall monitor and laid down the law for 7 hours. And got $100 doing so! From that experience I've learned that people have no respect for people trying to record. That or they don't know how to read signs that say "Please be quiet." Either way, it was interesting. Lots of food was eaten! Mostly consisting of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Did another performance for my gig, and then off to Lauren's for our girl's night. This morning I got up, taught, and went to my last gig performance and got my check! With all that I made a ton of money this weekend, so I'm quite happy right now. Despite our MUHI test tomorrow.

Anyhoo, Nala's being the cutest thing right now...well, as usual. She just keeps chewing everything! But who could get mad at her? Not me! I took her for her first walk with a leash all the way to Meadows and back, I think that was a little much for her but it was still so cute. I got lots of attention from all these random people, well, really SHE got all the attention, I just happened to be there too, lol.

Alrighty, we're gonna study. Yep, it's gonna happen...look at us go. Riiight...

That's all I got. Tata!!!!

12:46 am - Too much school...
I haven't even made it to this week's hump day yet. UGH! Does anyone else just feel burnt out? There's been way too much school goin' on. And at any point throughout the week all I do is count down the days until the weekend, as if those were any relief. Those just come and go without me even noticing. What's worse though is that each week I promise myself that THIS is the weekend I'm gonna get my butt together and be all caught up on stuff. I'm still waiting for that weekend to come. Guess that's just the college life.

Things just seems out of control sometimes. Or at least like I have no control over any aspect of my life. In a way I guess it could be a good thing, to help me focus on what really matters, but still! It's very frustrating. Oh anyways, sorry if I'm bein' too vague here but I guess I just felt like rambling.

So what's the deal with the cops bein' all over me lately? First our awesome party gets busted, then I get who knows how many parking tickets, then a speeding ticket, then ALMOST another speeding ticket on the way to San Antonio, then a parking ticket in San Antonio (guess I wanted to see if they worked the same way as in Dallas), then we got a notice about our court date set this week regarding the party incident, and then I got another parking ticket today! UGH!! But uh, let's not mention any of this to the parental units...that could be bad, got that Megan?!?!?

So as you can prolly tell, I'm not exactly in the most chipper of moods. Maybe I just need to watch a lot of Friends this weekend and then I'll be all better. We'll see how that goes... so much for THIS bein' the productive weekend it needs to be...

01:29 am - Home sweet home
Ahh, so good to be back. Too much travelin' the past few days. It's been great though! I had a nice little tour of Texas, got to see people I hadn't seen in a while, and ate a lot of food!

Last night we saw James' concert at Rice. Very impressive. I just keep thinkin' how I almost went there, how cool would that have been. But I have decided that's where I wanna go to grad school. Each time I've come back from hearing a Rice concert I'm all inspired to play again, which is always a plus. So guess I'm all set for the next 5 years then.

Haha, we'll see...

I've been thinkin' about getting a job this summer, craziness ain't it? Anyone have any suggestions of awesome places to work? I think Meghan wins with the carousel at the mall. But yea, I wanna save up to buy an awesome TV. Yay for movies!

Yea, so there's not a whole lot to talk about right now, cept all the crap I have to make up for school, like writing and preparing to perform a monologue for Art of Acting. I think I'll throw up right before I have to do it, ugh! Oh! To my Georgian friends, tell me if anyone's gonna be home from March 5th to March 12th cause I will be and wanna see people, so get on that! Anyhoo, that's all I got, nighty night to all!!

03:19 am
So the past couple days with a puppy have been fun. It certainly takes a lot of work...they really become your child. Makes me think I'm gonna love bein' a mommy someday. :-) It's strange how much I worry though, that I'm doing something wrong and may somehow end up hurting her later on. I guess it's good I'll be forcing the responsibility of her to my mom soon. Mom's always know best. But yea, so she's still a blast. Sorry if I'm boring you with the talk of her. OH! I ended up naming her Nala, like off the Lion King. Ok, new subject. So tomorrow TMEA starts. We're all excused for the next three days of classes to take a little road trip on down to San Antonio. The great part is that nobody really cares what you do while you're there. So is it weird that I'd really just rather use those excused days to stay home? Anyway I didn't think so, so that's exactly what I'm doin' tomorrow...absolutely nothing, well besides playin' with Nala. :-) hehe! Alright that's all I got. Talk to ya'll later!

12:47 am - Yay for puppies!!!!!!!
So yea, this journal should be fun...assuming people actually wanna read it. Well it's certainly been an eventful day. After being forced to refuse two adorable puppies due to their future size Jenny and I talked it over some Wendy's, read the paper in search for more cuties and ended up finding a dog breeder not too far away with some puppies for sale. We made the trip and came back a puppy richer. IT'S SOOO CUTE! Like seriously, I know dog owners are usually biased of their own dog but dogs just don't get cuter than this. She's a white toy rat terrier and is just so perfect. But anyways, I'm gonna have to part with her over spring break since she's my mom's birthday present. But SHH, she doesn't know that yet. So that's about the extent of excitement around here. Now it's back to another boring Monday, but atleast it's only a 2-day week thanks to TMEA! Sweetdreams to all!
